US Embassy Tokyo - Community Friendship Day Celebration 2009
Took the kids to Community Friendship Day Celebration at U.S. Embassy Mitsui Residential Compound, Tokyo yesterday. The crowd was kind of big, it seemed ticket was sold out at around 1pm, accordingly to other website online. But, we managed to buy it around 1:10pm. The queue was long, we had to wait for more than 40 minutes to get to the gate. Beside the Mitsui compound, it's the Hikawa shrine. Lovely environment. When arrived inside, there is a main street arcade. it's where all the food stores located. Every store sold hamburger! And Hotdog. But it was great, juicy inside and crispy on the surface. Beers and drinks are sponsored, so it's free, drink as you like. I have quite a few. :)
After hamburger and hotdog, kids wanted pizza also. So, we had domino pizza. After that, there was a stage for show. Japanese hayashi, and sesame street characters. Entertaining, especially the beers. :D

Napa Winery Tour: Beringer
Went for lunch nearby and took a winery tour. Written there; you could be a professional after the tour. Doubted, but it was true. I can feel the great value of wine now.
We started with Leaning Oak Chardonnay, white wine, it was good, the temperature to have wine, how to hold the glass so that not "heating" up the wine, etc. It was so useful and indepth.
The four wines we had:
1. Leaning Oak Chardonnay: Good, chilly, and refeshing
2. Leaning Oak Syrah: Red, it was too fruity, and not so good. Was surprised but that's how we got to compare it.
3. Leaning Oak Cabernet Sauvignon: Good read wine. Much older wine, easy to drink.
4. Port of Cabernet Sauvignon: sweet, served with chocolate, and it goes well with wine. Brandy is added into this wine; alcohol at 18% kills the yeast, that's how it changes the taste of each wine. So much to learn.
I got a cork-laminated hat. Cool!
